Reiki Therapy

Reiki

Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and alleviates anxiety through gentle touch.

Reiki practitioners use their hands to manipulate energetic fields and deliver energy to your body, improving the flow and balance of your system physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

Mikao Usui developed reiki in the early 1900s, deriving the term from the Japanese words rei, meaning "universal", and ki, which refers to the vital life force energy that flows through all living things.

Benefits: activating a meditative state, foster tissue and bone healing after injury or surgery, stimulate the body's immune system, promote natural self-healing, relieve pain and tension, and support the well-being of people receiving traditional medical treatments such as  chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and kidney dialysis. Reiki complements other types of medical and therapeutic treatments, and it can increase the efficiency of other types of healing.

Sound Therapy

Sound therapy is a type of energy work that helps attune our bodies and our space to a more optimal energetic frequency.

When there are blocks or stagnation in the body and mind, there is a dissonance and a lack of coherence. Various sounds and musical vibrational frequencies are played with an assortment of instruments to facilitate mind, body and spiritual healing. Sound therapists work to reduce stress, promote relaxation and balance the body’s energy centers while creating a healing and peaceful environment.

Benefits: can be effective at treating conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, sleep disorders, and aches and pains; reduces stress, reduces mood swings, lowers blood pressure, lowers cholesterol levels, reduces risk of stroke and coronary artery disease.

Buddhist Singing Bowl

Vibrational Therapy

Vibrational sound therapy works to retune your body, mind and spirit by encouraging relaxation, healing and wellness.

This service utilizes therapeutic singing bowls that are placed on the body to create a combination of tones and vibrations that produce a state of tranquility and act as a massage for the nervous system. As the body relaxes through soothing sound and vibration, your body is affected on a cellular level, opening energy flow that creates a healthy alignment. As the singing bowls are placed directly on the body through a physical connection, the vibrational therapist focuses on spiritual and energetic connections.

Benefits: reduces stress, reduces pain, eases mental and physical blockages and tension, reduces depression, improves sleep, boosts creativity, improves concentration, balances the body’s energy fields, and lowers blood pressure.

Yoga Nidra

Similar to meditation, yoga nidra is a structured practice that involves lying down and moving into a deep state of conscious awareness sleep- a deeper state of relaxation with awareness.

This state involves moving from consciousness while awake, going past the unconscious to the conscious. Yoga nidra allows access to the delta state, the deepest cycle of sleep, that is the most optimal state of consciousness for healing. In the delta state, the body and mind rest while the consciousness is awake. While the autonomic nervous system regulates the body’s function, the sympathetic nervous system (otherwise known as the fight-or-flight response) is soothed and balanced, aiding in overall improvements in immunity, digestion and stress management. The pineal gland releases higher levels of the powerful antioxidant melatonin, which helps to manage immune function, blood pressure, cortisol levels, and induce restful sleep.

Benefits: improved thought patterns and reduced stress, enhanced cognitive performance and memory, improved self-esteem and confidence, better sleep and improved physical health, improved waking mindfulness, diminished symptoms of anxiety and depression, treats chronic pain and PTSD, reduces addiction, balances the nervous system, and strengthens the endocrine system.
